210 Missions

Second Baptist is committed to evangelizing God’s Word through local and
international ministries to reach the lost.

SIMBSS (Students International Missionary Baptist Seminary School) is a multi-faceted ministry spanning from the Solomon Islands to the Amazon jungle of Peru and back to the United States. The goal of this ministry is to train and develop pastors in parts of the world where no instruction is available. A secondary goal is to provide local churches with teaching modules that are unique to each church's needs, objectives, and time constraints.

The Refuge

The Refuge Baptist Church is a young church plant in Plainfield, Indiana. Cody Wright and Jonathan Woodring, along with their families, are the church planters there. This church plant seeks to gather in celebration of who God is and what He desires for us through daily gathering in homes, in the community, and in collective gatherings to learn, grow, and pursue this common purpose.

The Refuge

MBSF (Missionary Baptist Student Fellowship) is a college ministry for the campuses of Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia. Tuesday nights are when this ministry meets for its Ascend worship service. Thursdays at noon, MBSF hosts a lunch provided by supporting churches. Later that day, students are invited to come back to be apart of life groups and Late Night to learn more about God's Word and fellowship with one another.

Faith Promise

Every year at Second Baptist, we have our “Faith Promise Conference”. This is a time when we individually & privately promise to give over and above our tithes & offerings for the following year. The amount received is used to help fund our local, national, and foreign mission works.
