Joey McDermott

Senior Pastor

Joey earned his Master’s Degree in Theology and currently teaches at the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock. He is married to Kristie McDermott from Tulsa, Oklahoma. They have three daughters, Taylor, Tori, Maddie and one son, Evan (Van) and three grandchildren (Eden, Bear, & Judah). Joey was raised in a pastor’s home, has worked with youth, and has been in the pastoral ministry for over twenty years. After serving at Donaldson Missionary Baptist Church for twelve years, God called him to the pastorate at Second Baptist Church in June of 2007.
